President & Chief Energy Officer, DNA Behavior International
CPA. Air Force veteran. Calm competence in every room. Decades of
helping leaders see “people before numbers” —
because numbers only move when the right people are aligned to
the right work.
Leon is President and Chief Energy Officer of Atlanta-based
DNA Behavior International, a global behavior and
money insights company that helps advisors, wealth managers, and
organizations understand their clients and teams, personalize
communication, and improve outcomes across the highest-stakes
decisions people make. He has been part of the executive team since
2013, previously serving as Chief Relationship Officer and Managing
Director before being elevated to President in November 2022. Before
DNA Behavior, he spent 16 years at Cox Communications in leadership
roles reaching Executive Director of Enterprise Resource Planning.
A Certified Public Accountant with a BBA in Accounting from the
University of Texas at Arlington and training in the Birkman Method,
Leon is also a proud U.S. Air Force veteran — having served as
a Staff Sergeant in Human Resources and Medical Lab operations from
1981 to 1987. That service shaped how he thinks about teams, trust,
and the responsibility leaders carry. In DNA Behavior’s own
framework he is an “Initiator,” a profile that fits his
career of starting, building, and scaling things that serve people.
His chapter draws on decades of helping organizations understand
the behaviors that either build or break high-trust environments.
